I found it hard even as a trained public speaker

I really struggled when I first tried to use video in my business.

I came across as stiff and stilted. I couldn’t understand why. After all, I teach public speaking in the corporate world and I have been running live workshops on camera for a decade.

But then I realised it was because I had let myself believe that being “just me” wasn’t enough.

That’s when the penny dropped. Video brings out our biggest insecurities. I realised I could use the same confidence-building strategies that I teach in the corporate world and adapt them to being on camera.

Sure enough, my fears started melting away and I finally arrived at that stage where I could just go live and talk to the camera like I'd talk to a friend.

I then used my marketing experience to build a content strategy that made the most of my efforts.
